Chayah buys its products directly from the organizations or companies. How this money reaches the craftsmen can differ per organization.

For example, we work together with Oyetu from Namibia. We buy the products through the organization, they then pay the artisans who make the products.

We also work together with Chako Zanzibar. The craftsmen are their employees and therefore receive a normal salary. The purchase costs go to the company and part goes to the wage costs of these craftsmen. But fortunately, besides giving these craftsmen a chance, they also do a lot of good for the environment. That's where your money goes too!

Finally, 10% of the profits go to the organizations, so they can do even more good!
